Scout
2-Day Course

From fundamentals to flow — execute under control.

You’ve built the foundation. Now it’s time to run the system.
Scout is where shooters move beyond basic mechanics and begin learning how to perform under pressure. You’ll take the fundamentals developed in Pathfinder and apply them through structured drills that introduce cadence, decision-making, and real-time problem solving.

This course isn’t about shooting more—it’s about shooting with purpose. You’ll work from the holster, learn to manage recoil at speed, and begin handling reloads and malfunctions without breaking focus. As the pace increases, you’ll discover that accuracy doesn’t come from slowing down—it comes from maintaining control while everything else speeds up.

Through guided instruction, repetition, and light competitive pressure, Scout builds the ability to stay disciplined, think clearly, and execute consistently. By the end of the course, you won’t just understand the fundamentals—you’ll be able to apply them when it matters.

What you’ll learn

  • Draw Stroke Fundamentals: Safely and efficiently present the firearm from the holster with consistency and control.
  • Controlled Cadence: Manage speed without sacrificing accuracy by understanding sight return and recoil timing.
  • Reload Mechanics: Perform smooth, deliberate speed and tactical reloads while maintaining awareness and control.
  • Malfunction Clearing: Diagnose and resolve common firearm stoppages quickly and safely without losing focus.
  • Shooting Under Pressure: Apply fundamentals in real time through structured drills and light competition

Scout is built on a simple principle: fundamentals don’t change—performance does. This course takes the mechanics developed in Pathfinder and puts them under increasing demand. Training begins with a quick confirmation of fundamentals, then shifts into structured drills that introduce time, pressure, and decision-making.Students work from the holster, manage recoil at speed, and begin solving problems in real time—whether that’s executing a reload or clearing a malfunction without breaking focus. The pace increases, but the standard remains the same: control the gun, control the outcome.Instruction is still hands-on and coaching-driven, but the expectation changes. Students are encouraged to trust their fundamentals and apply them without hesitation. Mistakes are corrected in the moment, and success is built through repetition under realistic conditions. As the course progresses, light competition and performance-based drills are introduced to elevate stress in a controlled environment. This is where shooters begin to see the difference between simply knowing the fundamentals—and being able to execute them when it matters.By the end of the course, students aren’t just shooting—they’re running the gun with purpose, control, and confidence.
