Balizar "Boa" Avatar is the CEO and one of the lead instructor at Mountain Viking Tactical Solutions, bringing over 12 years of experience in security and law enforcement. His background includes contracted security, university campus security, court security, and two years as a sworn officer with Yavapai County Adult Probation. As a Field Training Officer, he mentored new officers and authored the official Court Officer Training Manual still used in Yavapai County today.

Boa is a certified NRA Pistol Instructor, De-Escalation Instructor, and Stop the Bleed Instructor with seven years of teaching experience. He is also a Glock Armorer and has completed advanced training in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Close Quarters Combat (CQC), and team tactics. As an Eagle Scout, Boa brings a lifelong commitment to leadership, preparedness, and community service into every class.

His mission is to help students of all backgrounds build confidence, improve safety, and make sound decisions in real-world situations. When he’s not on the range, Boa is likely honing his own skills or developing new courses to better serve his community.
